The Scoop newspaper was the winner of the Ottawa Citizen High School Newspaper
competition in 1987 and 1988; the only high school newspaper to win the award two
years in a row. The Scoop was produced on a MacIntosh computer since 1981
and is supported by advertising, photographs and illustrations.
The collection consists of 33 files containing copies of the newspaper, background
history, awards and account books which cover the school years from 1963 to 1998.
The collection was donated by Dianne Brearley, staff advisor for the Scoop
between 1976 and 1997.
