Arnprior Winter Sports Ltd.

        Arnprior Winter Sports Ltd. was established in 1935 out of the need in the community for a better sports facility and to promote recreational winter sports in the town.  In 1956, shareholders of the company agreed to turn over the assets and holdings of the company to the town provided that Kenwood Mils agreed to surrender its two-thirds of the stock, and provided that the town agree to run the rink as a community centre under a Recreation Commission.

The collection consists of the corporate records of the Arnprior Winter Sports organization including: Minute Book containing letters patent, director's registry, bylaws, list of Shareholders, Deed of Gift and minutes from 1935 to 1956 as well as a folder of correspondence and share certificates related to the winding up of the company and subsequent donation to the Town of Arnprior in 1957.
