Duncan Edward Stewart ( 1910 - 1996 ) joined the Stewart Brothers firm in Waba upon graduation from Queen's University. He operated the business alone until he retired in the 1960s. Duncan Edward inherited the papers in this collection from his father (Duncan Gordon) and grandfather (John Stewart ) who was Reeve of McNab Township and co-owner of the Stewart Brothers enterprises. The diaries belonged to several different family members; the folders contain various legal documents.
