Arnprior was first settled by Europeans in 1825 when Archibald McNab brought 80
Scottish settlers to the township he named after himself. In 1862 Arnprior was
incorporated as a village; in 1892 as a town. Collection consists of by-laws, assessment
and collectors' rolls, minute books and account books and other records documenting
activities and decisions made by the Town. An item list of By-laws dating from 1868 is
available. Records of the Victorian Order of Nurses from 1924 - 1958 and Arnprior
Board of Health minutes 1900-1953 are also included in this collection.
