Town of Arnprior Collection

Arnprior was first settled by Europeans in 1825 when Archibald McNab brought 80 Scottish settlers to the township he named after himself. In 1862 Arnprior was incorporated as a village; in 1892 as a town. Collection consists of by-laws, assessment and collectors' rolls, minute books and account books and other records documenting activities and decisions made by the Town. An item list of By-laws dating from 1868 is available.  Records of the Victorian Order of Nurses from 1924 - 1958 and Arnprior Board of Health minutes 1900-1953 are also included in this collection.
