Diana Thompson donated a copy of the Arnprior Chronicle darted December 13, 1886 to the Archives in July 1999. The paper is a special, 60 page 'Holiday Number' with a lithographed cover showing a globe, beaver, crown etc.  Published by John A. MacDonald, the paper includes stories and advertising from Montreal, Ottawa, Brockville, Arnprior and the surrounding area.  Local news, business directory and advertising begin at page 17.
