Arnprior Village 1891 Census

The federal census of 1891 was conducted between April 6th and May 22nd, 1891.  The assessor recorded a population of 3341 for the Village of Arnprior that consisted of 635 families.  Surnames are listed as they appear on the copies of the census held at the Arnprior & District Archives.

In addition to census information, this publication provides cross references to other primary sources in the Arnprior & District Archives. The Remarks column directs the researcher to members of the same family within the same publication.  It also contains a summary of the various occupations listed in column 16 ( Profession, Occupation or Trade ) which reveals much about the character of the village at the end of the 19th century.
