Arnprior & McNab/Braeside Archives

War Memorial

This virtual War Memorial is made by possible the Arnprior & McNab/Braeside Archives' Cenotaph Project. It seeks to commemorate the local residents of the Town of Arnprior and Township of McNab/Braeside, who served and perished during the First and Second World Wars, as well as the Korean War. The project aimed to identify and obtain information on each individual who are inscribed on the Arnprior Cenotaph, and in the course of this work, further names were also uncovered.

Names are listed under the different icons below. Information for each individual is available by contacting the Archives and includes a record of where and when they were born, the names of their parents, some information about their lives when available, details of their military involvement, in addition to a record of when and where they were killed and buried in the service of their country. For more information about how the War Memorial was compiled, please see the project summary or contact the Archives.

At the present time, the project has identified and gathered information for all names on the Arnprior Cenotaph, as well as some forgotten soldiers, with the exception of: Emile Chambleau and Albert Wilson (World War One); Keith Laugheed and Thomas Mosley (World War Two). Anyone who may have information on these individuals, please contact the Archives.

With special thanks to Rod McCallum, a dedicated AMBA volunteer who completed work on this project.
