Research Assistance
If you are unable to visit the Archives in person we can provide research assistance. For questions requiring significant research time by our volunteers and copying and mailing (or emailing) of material, we charge $35.00 per hour for up to three hours of search time plus a $5.00 fee for copying and mailing.
Copying Services
The Arnprior & McNab/Braeside Archives provides reproduction of its textual, photographic and audio holdings on a user-fee basis, with differential rates for non-commercial and commercial uses of these reproductions.
Due to the fragile condition and light sensitivity of some holdings, reproduction services may be subject to limitation or refused. As well, photographic images created after 1949 may also be restricted. This is at the sole discretion of the archivist.
Note: Images from our collection which appear online are shown at low resolution. Higher resolution copies are available by contacting us.
Image Supply and Reproduction Price List
The prices listed here are for personal (non-commercial) use only. We provide digital copies of images by email or USB drive, and hard copy prints on regular paper only.

Reproduction Licence: Commercial Fee
Please contact the Archives to discuss commercial licencing. Commercial use is defined as any publication, distribution, commercial venture or project designed to generate profit by a corporation, business or individual, and includes any website with third party ads or products for sale. We cannot issue a licence to reproduce an image unless we have full details of your intended use.
Charges are set to reflect costs incurred by the Arnprior & McNab/Braeside Archives in processing and administering photographic orders. We appreciate your support!
Microfilm Inter-Library Loan Service
The Archives can borrow and provide access to microfilm reels on interlibrary loan from the Archives of Ontario. To explore their list of microfilm available on interlibrary loan, see their Microfilm Interloan Catalogue.
Contact the archivist by email and include the reference number (e.g. MS 683 or GR 1311), the reel number and the title of the microfilm reel. The microfilm requested usually takes 1-2 weeks to arrive at the archives.
The fee for this service is $10.00. This covers the costs incurred in postage, time and maintenance of the microfilm reader.
